YarnCon: No, You Should Go Back to Her Booth

Yes, there's still some purchases from YarnCon left to show you. This wasn't on the shopping plan at all. I'd been past Grinning Gargoyle already but I have yarn from two years ago that I've not knit up. And then a friend suggested I go back by the booth (I'd gone by once but as per usual it was packed and I wasn't in the mood to wade into the fray). "She's got really good sales" and "possible hiatus" were phrases quietly mentioned.  How could I not then go rummaging through the 4 for 3 skeins?  (Which, btw, was ALL of her skeins)

Three of the skeins I picked up were the Super Skinny Twist Fingering, which is 375 yards of Merino (80), Cashmere (10), Nylon (10).  It has such a gorgeous sheen to it. I got Briny Deep (green), Shiny Penny (Bronze), and Walnut (Brown).  I kept thinking the Shiny Penny would be so stunning for something steampunk inspired.  And with nearly 1200 yards I can make something lovely.

The fourth skein, my "get one free" is of her 7Teen Fingering, which is 420 yards of superwash wool at a 100% 17 micron count. It doesn't have the same super fine twist--this is softer and poofier than the super skinny.

As such, you can see it also takes the dye differently. This is "Wine" which has lovely reds and golds.  It also works colorwise with the other three but I'm not sure I'll put them all together.

And that's all I bought. Which was about 9 skeins more than I had planned. It's a very good thing that yarn doesn't go stale quickly.  Most of the yarn is going into the stash for now, though I keep eyeing the watermelon yarn and quietly scheming.  AudioGirl understands.
