So as the donation knitting continued, was it a surprise that some purple yarn came to play?
I found a very simple cowl pattern that was worked in the round and which would be long enough for loops. The pattern is Infinitude by Jeni Chase. I made two out of different acrylic yarns.
Each one is about 200 yards of worsted. If I was making for an adult, I might do another 100 yards for more width, bit this should be great for a kiddo.
- And then because I figure at least one kid doesn't want anything drapy, this Ribby Neck warmer is great for using up worsted. 50+ yards and done. Hopefully harder to lose on the playground.
So all of the ends are woven in, gift tags describing content and care (everything should be machine washable but one hat was a "recommend handwash") attached. I dropped the big bag off with my coworker after a meeting this morning and now it's back to that shawl I need to finish for The Loopy Ewe.
