A Shot of Vitamin C

I've been trying to knit this yarn for about six months. It's sat on the couch looking wistfully at me as I charged through all of Knights of the Loopy Table.

Apparently what it was waiting for was the new bag that the Incredibly Patient Mother got me at YarnCon.  It's a medium sized Andi Smith bag and presently is holding about 1200 yards of sport weight yarn. It's  good sized!!

And of course it has hedgehogs and is also serving as a cat pillow.

The yarn is from my trip to Maryland a couple of years ago.  The yarn is Mirasol Nuna and it's a very bright and shiny orange. There is 40% silk, 40% wool, 20% viscose.  This is going to be drapey and cheerful. I'm knitting the Elm Blanket pattern, though really this will be a square shawl.    The pattern is relatively simple and easily memorized if you have enough different stitchmarkers to hand--  at least as far into it as I presently am.  I have at least another 1000 yards to go.

Considering all of the projects I want to cast on, dash through, etc etc...this will likely not get finished until Stash Dash starts, and having a nice 1000 yard project for the beginning wouldn't be something to sneeze at.

Someone remind me in June to claim points for the Librarian's Guild, won't you? I totally forgot to claim the baby blankets....
